Research

The department maintains and develops advanced technology necessary in the field of daily-progressing neuroscience. The department with expert staff also provides high-quality technological services for researchers and runs five central facilities: the Isotope Center, the Animal Center, the Photo Center, the Computer Center and Histology Center. In addition to these services, we will soon provide technical support in the field of ultrastructural observation, including immuno-electron microscopy.

Outline of Projects

1. To develop specialized specimen-staining and specimen-analyzing techniques for electron microscopy.
2. To develop advanced apparatus that is necessary in highly specialized neuroscience experiment but is commercially available.
